Metal Detecting Finds

Metal detecting finds are wide and varied, but as a metal detectorist it’s always great to turn the soil from a recently dug hole to see a hammered coin starring back at you. I will never get used to it and below is the first image of one of my hammered coin finds. I an not sure of the date and identity but its a lovely find and comes in at about 19mm wide. I have scanned it here so you can see the lovely detail on the surface and I will never tire of looking at these lovely hammered coins.
